The New York Post and the Death of Sunny Sheu

New York Post

On Friday, August 6th, 2010, less than two weeks after Sheu;s death, the New York Post
sent crime reporter William J.  Gorta to interview Galison about the case.  Gorta asked for copies of all the videos, documents and sound recordings involving the case,  took copious notes and interviewed Galison for nearly two hours.

Gorta told Galison that the story would run the following Tuesday and that his editors were “crazy about the story”.

Tuesday came and went and the story never appeared. Gorta never returned Galison’s phone calls again. When Galison inquired to the Post’s News Corps lawyers he was told that the reason they stopped the story was “none of his business”.
