I am listening to Brian's re-broadcast on legal aspects of foreclosure with Melenka Clarke.
At about 1:38 AM listener "Theresa" said; "The courts in Queens are so corrupt...." and was immediately interrupted by Brian.
Of all the case I've researched, the case of Sunny Sheu is worthy of a show by itself.
Sunny is a Chinese computer programmer/ entrepreneur, with whom I speak every day. As of this week he is homeless. Judge Golia of Queens presided over a case in which Sunny's house was sold from beneath him, through proven forgeries, and uncontested mortgage fraud.
Sunny's story was a front page story in the Black Star News last month:
If only the Voice, Times or WNYC has 1/2 the integrity of that heroic paper. They were the onl y paper to send a reporter to the Senate hearing and are planning a series on Judicial corruptio n. Maybe that's w hy they operate out of a single room instead of a "State of the art" facility.
-Sunny was also illegally detained (technically kidnapped) by two thugs from the Quenns DA's office who showed their guns, took him into a closet for two hours warned him not to go to the press. They also warned him to be careful because he lives in a "dangerous neighborhood" and mi ght get hurt.
-Sunny has two Queens NYPD detectives who have requested to be heard in court on Sunny's behalf, but Golia refused to hear them.
-Sunny also has hard evidence of tax fraud by Golia and his wife, and lives from day to day afraid for his life.
-Golia, who was appointed by Lippman, is the President of the Supreme Court Judges Association. Lippman is a criminal and I have proof that he is not our Chief Judge under New York Law.
If you'd like to interview Sunny, I would meet with you. He can be hard to understand, and he is understandably suspicious.

Sunny Sheu was one of the bravest people and most positive person I ever met. After his home was stolen by a NY Supreme court judge/ real estate developer, he stood up against NY's judicial corruption.
Here is the video Sunny asked me to make for him in April, saying that if any harm befell him it would be at the hands of Judge Joseph Golia, who had had him kidnapped and threatened with death if he went to the media with his story. Sunny was brave enough to go to the media, but the media- including WNYC- was too cowardly to report it, or any other story on judicial corruption over the past eight years.
Sunny and I went to the Ethics Commission this past Wednesday, to obtain Judge Golia's amended financial form. As we left, Sunny told me "Now I have the evidence to put Golia in jail".
Yesterday Sunny was found dead on the street in front of his home, cause of death undetermined. You can be sure it will never be determined.
Bob Hennelly said he would look into Sunny's story when it was early enough to save his life, but he was apparently talked out of it. in addition to WNYC, Sunny's case was ignored by the police, the CCRB, the CJC, the DA. the AG and the FBI, Now he is dead and there will be no investigation.
Rest in Peace Sunny, you are a hero.

On December 30, 2009, Sunny Sheu took part in a poll of what WNYC listeners would like to hear discussed on the first open phone segment.
Sunny was among over 50 listeners who asked that WNYC cover judicial corruption and he added that he had been abducted and threatened by two DA Bureau NYP detectives under the orders of Judge Joseph Golia. According to Sunny, they told him that if he went to media about Golia's actions he would be killed.
Sunny did go to the media, including WNYC, who ignored his case, and Sunny was murdered on June 26th.
Before he died, Sunny made video, in which he says that if anything happens to him, it will be at the hands of Judge Golia
WNYC entirely ignored the results of their poll, in which over 50 listeners chose judicial corruption over twelve other topics, none of which received more than 3 votes.
In memory of and with respect for Sunny Sheu, can WNYC finally open its eyes to a problem that is destroying our state? WNYC should also cover the case of Sunny's murder, which is being investigated by the FBI.

Dear Bob,
It was great meeting you this morning. I was glad to hear that you acknowledge the problem of corruption the New York State judiciary. I was distressed but not surprised to learn that there is a campaign of defamation against me circulating at WNYC.
The following facts are true and verifiable independent of the quality of my character:
- There is rampant corruption and misconduct in the New York judiciary
- The agencies delegated to oversee this corruption are themselves utterly corrupt and inherently in conflict of interest. They exacerbate the problem by whitewashing complaints against bad attorneys and judges and by using their power to intimidate and punish others.
- The above statement is backed by sworn testimony, documents and lawsuits from hundreds of victims, including employees from the ethics agencies, dozens of lawyers, a sitting Supreme Court Judge and other New Yorkers from all walks of life.
- Senator Eric Adams has called for a "Task Force" to investigate this matter. Call him.
- Over the past year, the New York Senate Judiciary committee has held three public hearings devoted to this issue, including a hearing at 250 Broadway on September 24th , which was attended far beyond capacity. The SJC also held two public hearings on the judicial nominating process, and a critical public hearing on the confirmation of Chief Judge Lippman.
- WNYC has been made aware in advance of each of these hearings, and has refused to announce or report on any one of them.
- WNYC (Sarah Rivka Davidson of listener services) has stated on record that WNYC will not cover the issue of Judicial Corruption, and that this is the decision of the news Department (see attached "wnyc charter.mp3")
- WNYC has censored its website, altered the minutes of its community meetings, blocked my facebook access, and waged a campaign of defamation in order to discredit my respectful, appropriate and accurate communications regarding judicial corruption.
Regarding my character:
There is no evidence of any inappropriate behavior by me in regard to this matter or any other, period. Anyone making claims to the contrary cannot provide a single e-mail, letter or recorded phone call to back up allegations of inappropriate behavior. On the other hand, I have retained every email between me and WNYC and I have recorded every phone call. I have said before that if anyone at WNYC can provide one piece of evidence of inappropriate behavior by me, I will cease all contact with WNYC forever. If you can cite the time and date of any alleged offending phone call or email, I will provide it. That should put this issue to bed.
Then please ask yourself why I have been discredited and defamed. It is because I am trying to expose a story that some people at WNYC do not want to see made public, which is consistent with WNYC's inaction in this matter. The fact is, WNYC's objectivity appears to be compromised by conflicts of interest and this is a dire threat to us all.
Bob; many of your colleagues have decided to bury their heads in the sand and pretend that this will go away. Labeling me as a nut is a convenient and effective way of discounting the whole matter, but even if I were a nut, the judicial corruption, and WNYC's refusal to acknowledge it would still exist.
You told me this morning that you would look into this matter. The first thing you should do is to watch the video of the June 8th Senate Hearing.
Watch Christine Anderson, Luisa Esposito, Judge Duane Hart, Pam Carvel, Kevin Mckeoen, myself and fifteen others testify. The hearing that took place yesterday at 250 Broadway was even more compelling. It will be posted on the internet tomorrow. Once you learn that the problem is real, you will have to decide whether or not you are willing to face the resistance of the WNYC management.
The WNYC charter
On a related note, I have requested the original charter of WNYC (from 1922) on several occasions and my request has been posted on the WNYC and Brian Lehrer facebook page for over two months. Although Sarah Rivka Davidson promised to send me the charter, she actually sent me an unrelated FCC license from decades later (see attached) . I believe that the charter is being hidden from the public because it obliges WNYC to act in the public interest, especially in regard to public hearings. I am now asking you to please send me the original charter. It is not available on the internet. A charter is made to be public.
I hope you will grant me the simple respect of responding to this letter.

Many emails were exchanged between WNYC's Bob Hennelly and Will Galison regarding the underlying mortgage fraud case, as well as the kidnapping and death threats against Sunny by NYPD.

After Sunny's death WNYC has refused to answer phone calls or emails from Mr. Galison.
